Lutyen’s Delhi

•A complete city designed for British Government Officials in India by Edwin Lutyen and Herbert Baker.
•Viceroy house, which further became the Rashtrapati Bhawan, has dome which is inspired by Stupa.
•Connaught Place, which was the commercial centre for the British Government then and was designed in Radial Settlement pattern.
• Secretariat building and Parliament house are the only structure designed by Herbert Baker.

Parade Road

•The new Parade Road now lead to India Gate, which actually was a war memorial gateway having names of 82000 soldiers who fought in World War II.
