one of the most important topic in design and architecture exam is (perspective), the questions are so well framed that it can indirectly  identify your knowledge about the topic (perspective) .so in this tutorial we will discuss about 1,2,3 point perspective ,there use and how to draw .in upcoming post our team will prepare a set of sample questions on this topic .

1st of all what is perspective drawing?

we can say that the Perspective drawing is a set of technique used to draw a 3-dimensional scene onto a 2-dimensional surface.

there are two terms use in perspective that is vanishing point and horizon line.

vanishing point - as it name sounds the point where the image pretend to get vanished or the point at which receding parallel lines viewed in perspective appear to converge.

horizon line-The horizon or skyline is the apparent line that separates earth from sky, the line that divides all visible directions into two categories: those that intersect the Earth's surface, and those that do not.

given below picture will give you a clear idea-

Types of perspective -

there are 3 types of perspective 1 point,2 point and 3 point perspective

1 point perspective - in this type of perspective there is only one vanishing point .check out the below image .

one point perspective is not only used in making building interior and exterior it is used in making human figures, objects etc. it play a crucial role in providing depth in the composition.

how to draw one point perspective?

2point perspective - in this type of perspective there are 2 vanishing point check out the below image -

examples of 2 point perspective -

how to draw 2 point perspective ?

check out the below video ,you will get an exact idea how to draw a composition using two point perspective -

3 point perspective -The biggest difference in three-point perspective is that there are three vanishing points (VPs). Two are along the horizon, just like two-point, but the third VP is located either above the horizon (at the zenith) or below the horizon (the nadir), depending on the area you intend to draw.
